Vitamins for healthy skin mean different things to different people. But one thing that everybody wants is to look great and to have people notice them. A multivitamin on a daily basis might not be enough to make the skin glow so there are other vitamins that can help in this area.

Great skin is important not just for self-confidence but to show the world that you are healthy and you take a pride in your appearance. After all it's the first thing that people see when they meet you and so it is vital that you keep it in good shape if you want people to notice you. Taking stock of your life and stopping bad habits like junk food is a good start

One of the easiest vitamins to consume is C which can be found in oranges or orange juice or other fruits. Many people take vitamin C supplements every day and it can help protect the immune system from colds and flu.

But there are other vitamins that can also help, one that is especially good is vitamin E. A good balanced diet will provide plenty of vitamin E in things like spinach and nuts but again, it can be taken as food supplement tablet. Vitamin E is also good at regenerating cells and is available in lotion form and has smoothing qualities, some scientists believe it can reduce lines and wrinkles.

Most experts agree that vitamins C and E are essential for good skin but there are also others that can help, such as vitamin A. This helps with the regeneration of cells and can be found in foods like leafy vegetables, sweet potato, and carrots. Vitamin A is also found in sunscreens and so helps protect against harmful rays.

Vitamin B Complex is widely used to regenerate skin cells particularly in the fight against dermatitis. Scientists developed this into a lotion which is sold in the millions to females across the world who are trying to gain a more youthful appearance.

One of the little-known vitamins available is vitamin K. This is often used in lotion form in the delicate under eye area. Dermatologists say it can help with wrinkles and dark circles and again, is another popular cream for women who are trying to protect this area. The cosmetic industry is leading the research to find the best ways of getting the all important youthful look.

Sun damage is one of the biggest problems many people face and vitamins can act against the damage that's already been done, and can also protect against future damage. Of course keeping out of the sun is the best way to protect against sun damage, but ultra violet rays can get through even on cloudy days, so it's important to find the right balance of products to counteract the damage the sun does.

Everybody wants great looking skin and so finding the right kind of vitamins for healthy skin is vitally important, but people should also remember to eat a balanced diet, drink plenty of water, kick any bad habits and of course, stay out of the sun.
